Prince of Tennis 100 song marathon DVD!!

March 18, 2008

YAAYYYYY
This info was actually put up on the Prince of Tennis OVA official website yesterday, but I was too busy romanizing Cafe Buono to write a post. xDD
The Prince of Tennis 100 song marathon event, which took place on March 16th, is being released on DVD! 100 of the top Prince of Tennis character songs as voted by the fans…I wonder what was included?
I can’t understand all of the Japanese on the page, and it’s in a different format than the music page, but basically what it says is this:
Release date: 2008.06.25 (Wednesday)
Price: 9240 yen
Comes with a bonus disc featuring backstage stuff. The first press also has a “100 Song Marathon Special Booklet” (28 pages of live photos) and a special “bookcase”.
Ohhh man I can’t wait! @___@ This is coming out while I’m in Japan, which should make it really easy to get- it’s after we leave Tokyo (where we’re going to go to places like Akihabara), but I bet I can get the host family in Sapporo to take me to some DVD store or w/e. xD
It’s so expensive though~ @_@ I could understand that price for a limited edition, but I’m assuming it’s the same price just for the regular edition DVD…Then again, it is 100 songs. xD

Official announcement of the Prince of Tennis re-releases- list of CDs (Update)

January 24, 2008

I checked the official PoT music site today (haha ever since I realized the news was still updated I’ve been checking every day) and there’s a new news item- an official announcement of all the titles being re-released.
Looks like the main reason for the re-release is the 100 Song Marathon taking place in March. Damn, I really wanna see that concert! xD Seriously, I’m hoping it will be released on DVD, it should be an amazing concert. 100 seiyuu songs…^____^ I bet it’ll be expensive though…it -is- 100 songs….

THE PRINCE OF TENNIS op.REQUEST – VA
THE PRINCE OF TENNIS ed.REQUEST – VA

I’ll romanize all the titles/artists next chance I get, I have to go to assembly right now… Done. Well, that took me forever. It only took me a couple minutes for all of the actual singles/albums but the radio CDs took FOREVER cause I know NONE of the seiyuu. Except Kirihara’s and Eiji’s.
Anyway, if it’s not romanized it means it’s not by a Prince of Tennis character so I don’t know what the HELL they’re doing here.

Megane’s – another new single!

January 4, 2008

Chyeah, Megane’s definitely isn’t done yet, even though people said they were done after their third single. Odorimasen ka? Megane’s was released December 22nd, and they’ve already announced their fifth single! So far it doesn’t have a title, but it’s set to be released March 16th.
The 16th is another weird release day, it’s a Sunday, just like their last single. However, their last single was released on Sunday due to the Jump Festa- I don’t know if there’s anything going on that weekend for it to be released on a Sunday.

Actually, I looked it up, and sure enough, there is. The HUGE Prince of Tennis Live 100 Song Marathon concert, which features the top 100 character songs as chosen by the fans online, takes place on March 16th. I assume they’re tying in the new Megane’s single release.
The first DVD of the National Tournament Finals OVA is being released on the same day, I don’t know what day of the week anime DVDs are usually released, but I’m pretty sure they’re also going to tie the DVD release in to the event. I hope this marathon gets released on DVD, I know I’d definitely buy it.

With the release of their fifth single, the Megane’s is the PoT seiyuu group with the most singles released. Both Aozu and Cap to Bin, the two Seigaku units, have released four singles each (three separate for each, and one double A-side where they each had a song). I don’t think there have been any other groups that had more than one or two singles.

Hopefully this single is better than Odorimasen ka? Megane’s (which Yesasia just renamed “Shall we dance? Megane’s” for some reason), guess we’ll have to see.
