Resonant Blue covers + DVD info
Yes! The covers for Morning Musume’s 36th single Resonant Blue were posted on Some Boys! Blog today, and then the content of the limited edition DVDs was posted there a little later. Both are things I’ve been waiting for for a while (though mostly the DVD content because I wasn’t about to just gUESS which one would have better content and pre-order like that!), so I’m so happy to finally get this info.

Wow, I really like these covers. They’re actually wearing the outfits from the PV (their last two singles Mikan and Onna ni Sachi Are had totally different outfits for the covers). While I didn’t like the dark outfits in the PV cause most of them blended in with the background, I think they look good on the covers. And no one really has unfair focus. It’s actually the first time I’ve really looked at the outfits on everyone but Reina/Ai/Koharu, and I think they look really good in them.
All of the covers have a really serious look, unlike their last single Mikan which was all about celebrating and partying. Makes sense with the different song styles.
There’s something about Aika in these covers that really strikes me, but I can’t figure out what it is! I think she looks really good here…
Oh, and I absolutely LOVE how these covers are somehow in a high-resolution even though the single hasn’t even come out yet. I’m so used to really small-res covers until someone scans their copy, I don’t know why it’s different this time but I really hope this continues.
Next, the limited edition DVD tracklists! I’ve been waiting for these, as I needed to know what came with which edition before I decided which one to pre-order. So here it is:
The limited edition A will come with a DVD featuring “Another Version“. The limited edition B will come with a DVD featuring “Lesson Studio Version“.
I’m not exactly sure what the lesson studio version will be, but Another Version? Limited edition A is now in my Yesasia cart. I’m surprised though, as I thought Another Version was going to be on the Single V. I guess it will be on both, though being on the limited edition A DVD just killed my reason to buy the single V. I don’t usually buy those, but I was thinking about it because of the Another Version…
I really REALLY hope the Another Version means that there’s actually gonna be some close-ups rather than the normal PV that is basically just a dance shot. Definitely looking forward to it!
